  Terrible experience at Dr. Ryan A Housam's office. Dr. Housam herself is wonderful but almost everybody else amongst the staff has made me feel incredibly uncomfortable being there. The nurse, who's name I am not sure of, gave me the worst service I could imagine. I imagine a doctor's office as somewhere where you are supposed to feel calm and safe but the second I walk into that building my heart rate skyrockets. Today, my heart rate was very high because I naturally get anxiety about being in a doctor's office. The nurse took my heart rate about 3 times and then said the doctor didn't want me to leave until it was 100. I explained how I naturally get incredibly nervous and at my physical last year it was 110- the nurse gave an incredibly rude look thinking I didn't see, then proceeded to tell me to relax because she would be back soon. When she came back 30 minutes later she made it clear she was annoyed as she entered the room and then once again when the lowest reading she got was 105. She seemed to ridicule and feel angry about my inability to relax in a doctor's office as well as overall having a very rude and cold approach towards me- which I did not appreciate. As my mother and I left she said, "get outta here guys, haha just kidding" in the fakest and most sarcastic tone. Are those type of comments necessary, especially after I was clearly incredibly anxious and anxiety ridden due to your rudeness and inability to understand I was having trouble? I apologized for being difficult then left. I am not someone who would go through the trouble of reviewing something online or picking out things that people have done to make me dislike them but in all honesty, feeling anxious, rushed, and ridiculed in a doctor's office is not an acceptable way to make a patient feel. Her attitude towards me during all three visits I have had at this doctor's office has led me to search for a new doctor. She is incredibly rude and not someone I would recommend to anybody, which is a shame because Dr. Housam is incredibly lovely.
